Owner
Sekia is a mom and the heart behind Kaleidoscope Kids Preschool. Originally from Maryland, she began her journey in education at Morgan State University, earning her degree in Teacher Education before continuing on to complete her Master of Teaching (M.Ed.). She is now a PhD candidate, further deepening her commitment to understanding how young children learn and thrive.
After six years of living and teaching in California, Sekia created Kaleidoscope Kids Preschool to give children the freedom to explore, learn, and discover in a nurturing, structured environment. Her philosophy is grounded in the belief that structure, organization, and consistency build trust and when children feel secure, they flourish in anything they set out to accomplish.
With a blend of professional expertise and a mother’s intuition, Sekia is dedicated to offering families peace of mind through flexible care, intentional routines, and a warm preschool experience. At Kaleidoscope Kids, children engage in play-based education and enjoy an edible schoolyard, where hands-on learning, curiosity, and growth are at the heart of every day.
